However, customer must complete the termination process of SISP Plan at any BCM Branches. While Phone Banking customer can choose to place the termination instruction through TeleBCM Service at 8796 8888.
Example: Assuming a customer sets up a SISP plan for Securities A with a monthly investment amount of HKD5,000.
Before the Hold Fund Date | The customer should ensure there is at least HKD5,000 in the Settlement Account for this plan. |
Hold Fund Date | HKD5,000 is held from the Settlement Account. |
Purchase Date (the second trading day of HKEx after the Hold Fund Date) |
BCM is instructed by each of the customers who subscribe to purchase Securities A under SISP to endeavor to purchase the maximum number of Securities A on the Purchase Date using their respective monthly investment amounts after deducting handling fee. Assuming the average purchase price of Securities A is HKD19.8 *. Number of Shares Purchased Such part of the Monthly Investment Amount after deducting Handling Fee which would give rise to the maximum integral number of Securities A using the Average Purchase Price ÷ Average Purchase Price: HKD4,950 ÷ HKD19.8 = 250 shares |
Payment Date (the fourth trading day of HKEx after the Hold Fund Date) |
The total payment amount for purchasing Securities A will be debited from the Settlement Account, consisting of: (i) Purchase Amount Number of Shares Purchased x Average Purchase Price: 250 shares x HKD19.8 = HKD4,950 (ii) Handling Fee (minimum is HKD50) As HKD4,950 x 0.25% = HKD12.375 (minimum handling fee of HKD50 will be charged). Therefore, hold fund of HKD5,000 will be released and a total of HKD5,000, i.e. HKD4,950 + HKD50 will be debited. Furthermore, 250 shares of Securities A will be deposited into the customers’ Securities trading service account. The shares will be available for disposal. |
*Assuming the Bank purchased 300 shares of Securities A at HKD20 and other 300 shares at HKD19.6 in total, the average purchase price is:
(300 x HKD20 + 300 x HKD19.6) ÷ 600 = HKD19.8.
Remarks:
Subject to change from time to time at the Bank’s discretion, a list of Securities are eligible for selection for purchase made under the SISP, please click here for the details of Securities list.
